Known as quinoa, this grain like food is considered a complete protein; one that contains all eight essential amino acids, a credential not many other foods can boast of. Given its slightly crunchy, nutty texture and rich flavor, quinoa can be a meal for any occasion ranging from breakfast and lunch to dinner and even dessert. It is a good fit for both sweet and savory dishes and can easily be included in a variety of meal ideas.

For breakfast lovers, quinoa is a perfect food to experiment with as it can go well with many traditional breakfast ideas turning them into something different yet increasingly flavorful and diverse. Here are some breakfast ideas with a new take by including quinoa in the recipes:

Porridge with quinoa:

Porridge is a traditional breakfast favorite all over the world. When made with quinoa it resembles oatmeal without the oats. Quinoa porridge is prepared by making a serving of regular quinoa with the addition of a cup of milk at the end.
